Maegan Hoogerhyde | soprano
Maegan Hoogerhyde is a North Jersey-based opera singer and voice teacher, booking classical and musical theater engagements and offering private in-person and online voice lessons to students of all ages in classical, musical theater, and pop genres.
Maegan's love for music began at a young age, spurred on by singing in choirs at school and church. She began taking voice lessons and after seeing her first Broadway show as a freshman in high school, she was hooked! She transitioned to more classical repertoire as she prepared for college auditions, and her love and appreciation for classical and other styles of music has only grown the more she has learned. In college she not only grew in her passion for performing, but for teaching as well. She is constantly striving to be a better performer and teacher- two occupations that she finds to be closely linked and that feed into each other.
Maegan received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ, and her Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from New England Conservatory in Boston. She now resides in New Jersey, performing around the tristate area and teaching both in-person and online.
