About MY SINGING
My love for music began at a young age. My mom plays the trumpet and sings alto in our church choir, so I grew up singing in choir at school and church too. My love for performing grew as I entered high school, where I had opportunities to sing in choir as an ensemble member and a soloist, and where I performed in a yearly "dessert theatre" show. I began voice lessons as a freshman in high school, mostly working on musical theater repertoire (plus pieces from the classic 24 Italian Songs and Arias book!), before transitioning into classical repertoire at my teacher's suggestion while applying for college. I decided to pursue my bachelor's degree in vocal performance from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University. The more I delved into classical repertoire, the more I loved it. I chose to attend New England Conservatory (NEC) for graduate school, studying vocal pedagogy to both continue to hone my performing skills and pursue my newfound passion for teaching which I discovered during my junior year of undergrad. I now continue to perform in opera, concert, recital, and choral settings.

I graduated from NEC in May 2023, and since then have performed as a soloist with Orchestra 201 as part of Steppingstone Park’s summer concert series in Great Neck, NY, and with New Jersey Vocal Arts Collaborative in their "Summer Serenades" concert. While at NEC, I had the opportunity to sing the role of Britomarte in L’arbore di Diana and to appear in scenes as Servilia (La clemenza di Tito), Elvira (L’italiana in Algeri), Blondchen (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), and Catherine (Le mariage aux lanternes). I also sang in a concert of Bach repertoire at Park Street Church in Boston.
In June 2022, I sang the roles of First Lady and First Spirit in New Jersey Vocal Arts Collaborative’s production of Die Zauberflöte. I also previously performed the roles of Asteria (Tamerlano) and First Conversa (Suor Angelica), and in scenes as Frau Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor), Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos), Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), the title role in Semele, the Princess (Transformations), and Serpina (La serva padrona).
